The days before your appointment

What to do

✓ Moisturize your lips with balm in the days before.

✓ If you've had cold sores, ask your doctor for preventive antiviral medication.

✓ Have breakfast before your appointment: it lowers sensitivity.

What to avoid

· Alcohol and caffeine 24 h before (they increase bleeding).

· Aspirin or ibuprofen 48 h before, unless medically prescribed.

· Exfoliating your lips 3 days before.

· Hyaluronic acid filler within the previous 4 weeks.

Not recommended

When this isn't your treatment

Lip blush isn't for everyone, and telling you beforehand is part of the job. It is not performed in these cases:

Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Active cold sore · we wait until it heals and work with antiviral medication
Recent lip filler (less than 4 weeks)
Blood thinners or clotting disorders
Active oncology treatment · check with your doctor first
Uncontrolled diabetes · it affects healing

What to avoid while healing

· Very hot, spicy or acidic food the first 3 days.

· Wetting or rubbing your lips when washing your face the first week.

· Lipstick and gloss for 10 days.

· Direct sun; afterwards, daily SPF balm.

· Kissing and direct contact the first 3 days.

Lip blush questions

What if I've had cold sores?

It can be done, with preventive antiviral medication prescribed by your doctor a few days before and after. Without it, the procedure can reactivate them, and that's why I always ask at the consultation.

Do lips swell a lot?

There's mild swelling the first 24–48 hours, like after a day in the sun. Most clients are back to normal the next day.

Can I eat normally?

Yes, from day one. Just avoid very hot, spicy or acidic food the first 3 days and drink through a straw for the first 24 hours.

How do you choose the tone?

Building on your natural tone, not against it: I correct paleness or asymmetries with a pigment that blends with your color. You see it drawn on before we start.

Is it compatible with lip filler?

Yes, but not at the same time: filler must be at least 4 weeks old. If you plan to get filler, do the filler first and lip blush after.
